2009 PASCALL ‘CRITIC OF THE YEAR’

 ALISON CROGGON

 

 It was ‘standing room only’ when Alison Croggon was announced as the winner

of this year’s Pascall Prize for critical writing.  

 The presentation of a cheque for $15,000 took place at the Sydney Writers’ Festival

on Saturday 23rd May 2009, preceded by a lively panel discussion

on the subject of critical writing - Should the Critic be Fired?

 We congratulate Ms Croggon, respected poet and author,

who is a Melbourne Theatre Critic for The Australian and theatre blog Theatre Notes.
